Artist’s talk, 6:00 pm: “Fox vs. Hedgehog: Keeping Your Art Alive and Fresh”
“A fox knows many things, but a hedgehog knows one big thing.” In the 1950s, philosopher Isaiah Berlin borrowed this fragment of Ancient Greek wisdom and applied it to artists and other thinkers. In this presentation, Julyan will look at ways artists can strive to be versatile and “foxy” as a means to remain both inspired and relevant in an art world that generally favors hedgehogs.
